Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) is a universal interface for data access developed by Microsoft. With ODBC, special ODBC drivers are offered for the individual applications.

Add a new system DSN on the computer running the HelpDesk server ('Windows Control Panel > Administrative Tools > ODBC Data Sources'). Define the appropriate ODBC driver, usually Microsoft Excel or Access driver.

Put the name you chose when defining the system DSN in the "System data source" field.
